Diana has been involved in art all
her life
10 yr. - 1st place all grades (1-8) portrait
contest
12 yr. - appeared on TV (WGN, Cris Cuts) for
cartoon contest
Education:
- Studied art at Southern
Illinois University
- Studied psychology
at the University of Illinois in Chicago
- Earned a certificate of
completion for the Advanced Course/Workshop
on Counseling Technique from the Department
of Sociology of De Paul University and the Cook
County Unit, Community Services Juvenile Division
of the Department of Corrections of the State
of Illinois and the Near West Side Community
Committee.
- Studied piano and violin
at Domicas University, and later guitar.
Art:
- A regular participant in
Chicago area art fairs and shows.
- Many one-person shows in
northern Chicago, Lake and McHenry counties.
Work is currently on display at Stanton School
and Grant Community High School in Fox Lake,
the Lake County Health Department, as well as
Artworks. Included in the permanent collection
of Northern Illinois Medical Center as well
as in many private collections and homes.
- Work with (and for) children
includes: present of the board of McHenry County
Tumbleweeds - Picture Person - art lessons and
shows at Stanton and Lotus Schools in Fox Lake
- Art instruction to adults
as well as children; group and private; basic
drawing and oil/acrylic painting.
